Brian Macaluso
has been making music since his teens, as a member of numerous bands, either as lyricist/singer, drummer or sax/flute , and on his own. He’s written and produced many many “demos”, arranging, recording and playing all instruments.
However, this EP marks his first solo public release, featuring some songs he's been working on for decades.
He recorded it at Clandestine Recordings, a spacious and well equipped studio in his attic in Kingston, NY, with veteran session musicians he calls friends.
The current iteration of Clandestine Recording is the culmination of 30 years collecting gear and instruments. It’s Brian’s oasis.
Brian’s passion for recording began when he was in college.
One of his professors invited him to his home recording studio, and he was instantly captivated. It was in that studio that Brian and his brother recorded their first single.
A few years later, they would create their own home studio in their parents' basement. This led Brian to pursue a career in music and audio technology, recording studios and audio production.
Working in top-notch studios like Electric Lady, Brian found a way to be around music production in his day job. What he learned on the job, he brought back home, to his own studio.
However, with this EP, Brian steps out from behind the recording console.
